The tuning firm Polestar prepares a loaded SUV XC90. Its highlight is the modern 6-cylinder engine.
"Motor Drive-E 2.0-liter turbo and mechanical compressor, working together with the 8-speed automatic transmission will become “as strong or even stronger”than the six-cylinder engine"- told Niels Mueller, CEO of Polestar. This new model will replace the previous sportsedans S60 and V60 with its 350 hp.
"Everything is possible. SUV used to travel around the city, so why not to release the car to the track XC as well? "- Says Mueller. Remember that the T6 and T8 Twin Engine, two top version of the second generation SUV, issue 320 and 407 hp. The release date of these super Volvo has not yet been announced.
Anyway, the brand’s goals are set: double sales to 1500 models by 2016. While those numbers are far off the pace of its competitors, it’s a good start.
