Wiesmann German niche automaker was recently purchased by some British suitors intending to revive the production of impressive sports cars under this brand.
The company’s co-founder Friedhelm Wiesmann revealed that a British couple had purchased the automaker. Importantly, they have already signed the contracts and are intending on restarting Wiesmann production. Further details about the deal remain unclear including just what Wiesmann models could be heading back to the production line.
Prior to the company going insolvent in 2014, its most recent model was the limited edition GT MF4-CS restricted to just 25 units to celebrate the company’s 25th anniversary. The last there were news of Wiesmann was over a year ago when it revealed that it was on the hunt for new investors and evidently, that search proved fruitful.
